BLAST-IT / PLASMA FIBROBLAST

PLASMA FIBROBLAST

Blast away fine lines and wrinkles with a plasma fibroblast treatment. Shrink, Tighten and Rejuvenate the skin with a Plasma Pen treatment.
Plasma fibroblast, also known as Plasma Pen, is the only cosmetic treatment to use Plasma energy to reduce the volume of excess skin. In addition to reducing the volume of excess skin, it can also be effective at reducing acne scars photo-aging, including age spots and seborrheic keratosis. Its most popular use is for the excess skin on the upper eyelid, as the only other alternative to treat this area is a surgical blepharoplasty. Plasma technology was explicitly created as an alternative treatment to surgical blepharoplasty.

What is Plasma Fibroblast?

Plasma fibroblast treatment utilizes a pen-like device that emits energy that interacts with ionized gas (known as plasma) on the skin’s surface. This interaction creates precise micro-injuries of the skin, which initiate the body’s wound healing response. The procedure stimulates collagen and elastin production and leads to skin tightening, lifting, and regeneration. Plasma fibroblast treatment can be used on the face and body to treat lines, wrinkles, folds, sagging skin, stretch marks, and scars.

Before and After Images

Who is a candidate for Plasma Fibroblast?

Those with light to medium skin tones, not prone to hyperpigmentation and would like to treat lines, wrinkles, folds, sagging skin, stretch marks, and scars.

What is the discomfort or pain associated with Plasma Pen treatments?

Discomfort/pain during the treatment is mild to moderate depending on the area being treated. Topical or injectable numbing is used to make the treatment tolerable. Slight discomfort and sensitivity during the healing process are to be expected. You can use Tylenol or an ice pack for pain, as needed.

What is the downtime after a Plasma Fibroblast, Blast-it treatment?

At Skin Deep, we define downtime as being unable to work or go out in public. Downtime is unique to every patient. Typically plasma fibroblast treatment has 1-2 weeks of “downtime.” Warmth, redness, swelling, weeping, scabbing, and tenderness/soreness can occur. Any warmth to the area will typically resolve in 24 hours. Redness and tenderness/soreness may persist for 24-72 hours.

The swelling usually begins the day after, and peaks around day 3; after the third day, swelling in the area starts to subside, and scabs start to form if they have not already. Do not pick scabs. Scabs begin to fall off around the 6th or 7th day (for face and neck).
