Here at Skin Deep Cosmetics, we currently offer two eyeliner tattoo services. Eyelash Enhancements and Eyeliner Wings. If you are looking to wake up each morning without worrying about putting on eyeliner, this is a great option for you.
Eyelash enhancements:
This technique implants pigment naturally within the lash line, blending into your lashes without damaging them. Our Eyelash Enhancement procedure creates a subtle pop, making your eye look fuller, outlines, and frames your eye beautifully. This is a great option for those who do not have full lashes.
Eyeliner Wings:
This gives off a more glamorous look and is great for women who enjoy wearing eyeliner. We can create a soft natural wing, or customize the style to your preference.
Please be aware that permanent makeup is a 2 step procedure, the initial procedure and the following touch-up is in between one and three months. After three months this will not be considered a touch-up and will be an additional cost. We can adjust the color and the shape upon your arrival for your touch-up appointment.
Permanent makeup is NOT for any clients who are or have:
Eyelash enhancements: $300
Eyeliner Wings: $350
Eyelash Top & Bottom: $450
Aftercare is crucial, it is very important to follow these instructions for the full 10-day healing period to ensure proper healing and color retention FOR THE BEST RESULTS. Keep in mind that in many cases, some unevenness or loss of color is to be expected. Healed eyeliner will fade up to 50%. This is the purpose of the touch-up or what I like to call the perfecting visit. Results will vary for all individuals.
You may wear contact lenses once your eyes have returned to their pre tattooed condition
Approximate daily healing schedule for eyeliner
Day 1 You may experience slightly puffy to swollen eyes, heavy lids, light sensitivity, and red irritated eyes. Your eyes may feel more swollen than they appear. Please try to sleep in an elevated position to help reduce swelling at night. You may not want to use your best pillowcase for the first two nights in case there is any residual pigment that could stain them. You may apply a clean icepack (which must be protected with a paper towel or cloth as to not wet the eyeliner) for 10-minute intervals for the first 48 hours.
Day 2-3 I will be swollen and perhaps crusty upon waking. The swelling will disappear from being in an upright position and increasing circulation to the area. Avoid heavy lifting, physical exertion, and crying.
Day 4-6 Pigment within the epidermis will begin to flake off in little stitch looking lines although some people do not notice the exfoliation at all. Do not scratch or pick, please! Blinking helps to eliminate the small pieces of pigment and epidermis which have detached.
Day 7-10 All shedding should be complete. You’re safe to put your face back in the shower spray and use makeup.
Long term care
Please be aware that the result of the procedure is dependent on the following:
Medications and health conditions, skin conditions- i.e. oily and poor skin, very dry/flaky skin, sun-damaged skin, loose or relaxed skin, natural skin undertones, alcohol intake, and smoking, general stress, immune system, poor diet and not following aftercare instructions, may affect your heeled results.
Antacids, thyroid and anxiety medications have been reported as interfering with permanent makeup either affecting retention or shifting the pigment to an undesirable tone. Remember, everything we eat and drink has their own chemical structure and the electron ends that are unattached are free, make it attached to other compounds inside the body forming a new molecule that may show a different color spectrum. With that information, an educated client may have better expectations and know that she or he may have needed more frequent adjustments than others. The better condition your skin is in, the better the final result will be, but your clients may need an additional one or two weeks healing for the final results to appear. The better you take care of your skin and protected from the UV rays, the better the outcome in the lifespan of the permanent cosmetic procedures.
