Plasma Skin Tightening

Plasma Fibro - Texas

SKIN TIGHTENING

We treat everything: from upper eyelids to crow’s feet, from smokers’ lines to stretch marks, from tightening the navel area to sagging skin on the hands and knees, the list goes on and on.

Unlike many who offer plasma treatments, Skin Deep includes two follow-up LED treatments with each plasma service! These LED treatments are applied to the treated area during the healing process, helping to reduce initial redness after the carbon crust falls off. The first LED treatment will be around day five, calming any redness or irritation and encouraging more collagen growth to ease your skin’s transition. The second treatment will follow one to two weeks later.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

BEFORE CARE PLASMA

  1. Avoid any kind of tanning, spray tanning and tanning beds for 2 to 4 weeks before your treatment. Ideally, you should try to use SPF 50 to prep your skin for 2 to 4 weeks before your treatment, especially if you are naturally darker-skinned.
  2. Avoid any other type of procedures on the same area which you would intend to have treated with plasma pen, such as laser therapy, chemical peels, botox, fillers, as they may prevent your treatment from being performed by your technician at the time you want it.
  3. If you are prone to hyperpigmentation you may even wish to consider using natural Tyrosinase inhibitor to help ensure there is no overproduction of pigment in the skin.

No Facial acids ( Retin-A, salicylic, glycolic) 14 days before or 21 days after plasma pen.

No Botox or filler‘s 21 days before or after plasma pen.

No micro needling 21 days before or after.

No lasers or intense peels for 90 days before or after plasma pen.

Surgical procedures like facelifts or eyelid lifts you must wait at least nine months postoperative before Plasma pen treatment is possible.

WHAT TO EXPECT POST PLASMA

  • In the hours following your Plasma Pen treatment, a mild burning sensation (similar to a sunburn) may be experienced. This should subside within a couple of hours. If this discomfort lasts longer, anti-inflammatory medication can be taken (Providing you are well and safe to take along with any other medications you may be taking)
  • Swelling in and around the treated area may be experienced, swelling may be more severe in some cases, this generally will subside within a few days providing all correct aftercare instructions are followed. In an eyelid treatment, it is normal for the lower eye area to swell if the upper eye was treated. This is because the lower and upper eye are interconnected. Again, anti-inflammatory medication or antihistamine may help.
  • If you are receiving a Plasma Pen treatment anywhere on your face or neck, we recommend you sleep on your back with your head elevated to reduce swelling. Adding an extra pillow while sleeping will help with lymphatic drainage. Clean fresh linens are also recommended.
  • If you have undergone Plasma Pen treatment eyelid tightening, a clean sterile cold compress can be applied intermittently, for the next 48 hours. This aids in reducing initial swelling. Ensure that you do not apply solid ice as this can damage the skin tissue.
  • Do not cleanse the treated area until the following day. Your technician will provide you with aftercare products and instructions. You must follow the provided aftercare protocol to expedite the healing process and avoid complications.
  • As the skin begins to heal it will dry out. The crusts that form on the treated skin is completely normal. Do NOT attempt to remove them. Allow them to naturally flake off. Usually 4-7 days but can take up to 2 weeks in some cases.
  • Do not apply moisturizers, eye products, makeup or perfumed, or alcohol-based cleansers to the treated area until the crusts fall off. Until the crusts have fallen off and the redness has disappeared, apply the recommended aftercare.
  • Sports, sauna, sunbeds, etc should be avoided until the crust falls off completely and the wound is completely healed.
  • Do not apply occlusive dressings or anything else to cover the treated area as this does not allow the area to breathe and heal properly.
  • It is highly unlikely you will get an infection from a Plasma Pen treatment, as the wound we cause is not open. However the first 12 hours post-treatment is vital in protecting you from any potential infection, so please avoid any activities where you could expose yourself to contaminants. Keeping hands off of anything that comes in contact with the treatment area.
  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning of the treated area until the area resumes its normal tone, (usually approx 12 weeks) The area is extra sensitive to sun exposure and this can increase the chances of pigmentation on the treated area. The use of SPF and sunglasses on eyelid lift treatments are recommended.
  • Additional treatments can be performed after 6-8 weeks and ONLY IF all redness has subsided.

The evening of your procedure do not wash or wet face. Prior to bed reapply aftercare spray allow to fully dry and then apply aftercare gel to all of the treated area(s) with Q Tip.
