Facial lines appear naturally as we age. Factors such as stress, poor diet and sun damage can speed up the aging process until deep lines and wrinkles begin to set in. Botox® or Dysport® is a quick 10-minute treatment that works beneath the surface and temporarily reduces the underlying muscle activity that causes moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines in adults – to help them look better. Some patients receiving treatment report the injections feel like a pinch. You may begin to notice a visible smoothing of frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines within 3-7 days, with results lasting up to 3 months for moderate to severe frown lines. This is not a permanent treatment. If you discontinue treatment the moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines will gradually return.

ANTI WRINKLE TREATMENT

(Using Botulinum Toxin) Anti wrinkle injections include consultation pre procedure, and complimentary follow up appointment two weeks post treatment. Reducing and smoothing fine lines and wrinkles lasting 3-6 months. Anti wrinkle Injections are the most effective rejuvenating treatment for subtly tackling the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles. Also preventing new lines forming by relaxing the facial muscles and reducing excessive facial movements.

WHAT IS BOTOX?

Botulinum Toxin A, known under the brand name of Botox, is a highly popular aesthetic treatment at Skin Deep Cosmetics & Aesthetics, and is predominantly used to smooth out wrinkles in the upper face. However, Botox injections are also used for lower face slimming and non surgical neck lifts.

HOW DOES BOTOX WORK?

Botox works by blocking the signals from the nerve to the facial muscles under the skin to stop them contracting and causing wrinkle formation. The results boast a refreshed, wrinkle free and smooth appearance. This can cause a reduce in brow movement, and create a smooth youthful appearance. We are able to lift the brows, create a more defined arched brow and a refreshed look. Results can take up to 2 weeks to show, and usually last anywhere from three to six months. A two week review is offered post botox injections to ensure all is well.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER THE PROCEDURE

Neurotoxin / Botulinum A Toxin injections can cause small amounts of swelling, a temporary bump, redness, bruising, a mild to moderate headache, and sensations such as tingling or mild itching after the treatments. These effects are so common they can be considered a normal part of the process.

Do not take any Aspirin related drugs (Advil, Aleve, Midol, Ibuprofen, ect..) Tylenol only if needed. If you’ve taken any blood thinners prior to your treatment you may experience some minor bruising and or swelling to the injected areas.

The initial effects will show in the first 3 – 10 days. Peak effect on the muscle is at 14 days, but the results will continue to improve for 4 weeks or more.The benefits begin to wear off after 3-4 months on average.

DAY OF TREATMENT:

We expect clients to NOT workout after and avoid strenuous physical activity for the first 24 hours.
– Please do not lie down for the first 4 hours following your treatment.
– Avoid drinking excessively after your treatment. A glass of wine or two is fine.

HOW TO PROTECT YOUR RESULTS TO REDUCE SIDE EFFECTS AND INFECTION:

Remain upright for 4 hours.
No Hats / Baseball Caps
Avoid rubbing, massaging or touching the treated area.
Wash your hands after treatment.
Please refrain from putting on makeup, or other facial products directly after wait at least 6 hours.
As always we recommend the use of a Daily SPF to help prevent future wrinkles.

FIRST TWO WEEKS: EVERY CLIENT IS DIFFERENT AND WILL SEE THEIR RESULTS TAKE EFFECT AT DIFFERENT TIMES.

During the first week it is common to feel heaviness of the eye brows and forehead.
If you experience the heaviness over two weeks please call the office to speak with a provider.
Peak results will not be seen until 14 days post treatment and will continue to see the effects for several weeks/months.
